Creative Makeuplook #4 – White Flowers!

The second look I did this summer using the pretty flowers around us.  Not it’s winter here. I mean, full on winter with 60 cm of snow and -15 degrees Celsius. But, this look makes me think of winter anyway. I hope next spring I will have more time to take advantage of all the pretty flowers.

This time I used two flowers. One is “Skogstjerne” which is translated to “Forest Star” but I think the common name is “Arctic Starflower” which is suitable for where I live. The second flower is actually a quite large one, but I only took the tiny little flowers at the top. It’s called “Hundekjeks” which you may know as “Cow Parsley”, and hilariously enough the Norwegian name means “Dog-Cracker” which I find humerus. But I do like the pretty small white flowers.

Creative Makeup Looks #3 – Blue Flowers!

My intention was to do a big post full of makeup looks incorporating all the beautiful wild flowers that grow here during summer. But then kitchen renovation happened, and then my trail riding accident happened, and then suddenly the flowers where all gone. I only mamaged to do two looks using flowers. Not enough to do a big flower power makeup looks post by, but I still wanted to shade them and put them in my creative makeup looks series.

This blue look I made by just doing something simple and added one of my very favorite flowers. Not only do I really appreciate the color and the minimalistic beauty of the flowers but the name even has it’s own beauty. “Forglemmegei” which means Forget-Me-Not (and I do believe that’s what it’s known by in english aswell) is just such an impactful, melancholic and beautiful name. I remember my grandmother was the one to teach me this.

I found it just behind my house, and being one of my favorte flowers this was off course the first one I picked to do a look with.

Creative Makeup Look #2 – Oil Spill

Another short makeup look post. If you did not catch my first post, this Creative Makeup series is just a series of short posts where I share one of my more creative makeup looks. I want an excuse to dig into my collection fro time to time and be creative instead of just using new palettes for reviews. It’s about getting around to using more of what I got as well as trying to evolve my makeup skills.

So this look is inspired by the colors in an oil spill. Turned out very different from what I had pictured, but that’s how it usually work when I try to do something more creative. I have something specific in mind and end up with something completely different.

  • Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade – Medium Brown.

The color effects was really easy to create. It’s just tapping shimmery colorful shades over a completely black base. I think it gives the colors a nice dimension!

Creative Makeup Look #1 – Drippin Black!

I want to do another short and sweet blog series where I share creative makeup. It’s not going to be anything long. Just a picture of a more creative look and what products I used. I want to do more creative looks to improve my skills, and working my way through looks to do a palette review don’t always allow me to be the most creative.

So this post is just looks of ideas I get and try out in order to get a bit more creative, and hopefully better at doing creative makeup. So here is the first look!
